before the flood of bootleg releases of the “acid jazz era” started to lead into arbitrariness, the “jazz, soul funk ‘n’ grooves” in 1992 still was one of those releases being quite respected for it’s selection of then widely unknown recordings, to name mike james kirkland’s “what have we done”, asha putli’s “right down here” or this hypnotizing tune here that had the opportunity to be heard the first time for many dj’s and listeners.
