Jesse Fisher – Super Funky

Way Out – WO-984 * Vinyl *  7″ * USA * 1972

The Cleveland, Ohio based Way Out label had quite some output from the local hero Lou Ragland, who was highlightend in 2021 on the comp “I travel alone”  by the guys from Numero Group.

As with many of Raglands releases, this one could have been taken more care at the recording & mastering process, if so with the necessary punch and dynamics it surely could have been a solid club track with it’s very long breakdown on part two that is not online anywhere by now, probably i do an upload on Youtube soon.

Jhelisa ‎– Friendly Pressure (The Turbomen Edit)

Off Beat ‎– AH 38557 * Vinyl ** 7″ * 45pm * UK * 2001

One of the early works from the then arriving Edit / Mashup craze a quality-wise rare exception from this predominantly heedless trend that called itself a genre.
