Flexipop ‎– FLEXIPOP 15 * Flexi-disc * 7″ * 33⅓rpm * UK * 1981

Merry Christmas everyone! This is a giveaway flexi disc that was attached to a short lived UK music magazine in 1981. This Flexipop magazine was run by some ex Music Mirror folks and held one of such flexidiscs with exclusive tracks (as by The Jam, XTC or Motorhead for instance) in each issue. There seem to be vinyl test pressings that are quite rare & sought after, although the quality of the flexidisc ain’t too bad at all. The artists credit says “Blondie And Freddiy”

Society, Inc. ‎- Precious Weed

Bet ‎– 494-5 * Vinyl * 7″ * 45rpm * USA * 1974

This song was released under the names “Disc Jockey Jam” as well as “Precious Weed”, some copies with a “Precious Weed” sticker pasted over “Disc Jockey Jam” supposedly due to the – then obviousely provocative- title.

The flipside, “Society” was reissued in 1997 on “Keb Darge’s Deep Funk Vol. 2“, this track in 2007 on my own “Party-Keller Mix CD” on Breakin Bread and again on Tramp records in more  recent years
